Handbuilt and glazed in my studio in the south west of Britain and sold in gift shops in the UK.
Inspired by the sheep of Wensleydale, I start with molding a basic form from stoneware clay, onto this I add two layers of "fur" by extruding clay, twisting the 'fur' delicately and attaching by hand. I add the hand molded head and complete the fur over the head. The sheep is then fired to 1000 degrees. I hand paint each sheep once it has had this first firing. The sheep are then fired again to 1230 degrees after which they are ready for sale. The process makes the pottery totally waterproof and durable. Your little sheep will last for your lifetime and beyond with care not to break her.
