One little pottery gloucester old spot pig looking for a new home.
I make these pigs from stoneware clay. I start by making a hollow ball from two small handmade pinch pots then add the pig's head and defining features. Once the pig has had its first firing to 1000 degrees I then paint a range of glazes on to give the distinct old spot pig look and fire again to 1225 degrees.
This makes the final pig ready to live both inside or out throughout the year making it the perfect addition to any garden.
Due to the handmade nature of the sculpture every pig I make varies slightly in size and shape.
This pig is approximately 9cm high by 14cm long and 8cm wide.
